Praying For My Husband

I got this from another friend =D, very wise to pray for your husbands, girls. Do feel free to post this on your wall to encourage your circle of friends!

by Nancy Leigh DeMoss
“She does him good . . .” (Proverbs 31:12a)
Bless your husband by praying for him! The Apostle Paul instructed all Christians to pray for one another (Ephesians 6:18). This includes wives’ responsibility and privilege to pray for their husbands. Earnest prayer for your husband is good for him, for you and the spiritual health of your home (Proverbs 31:11-12).
Satan desires to destroy your husband, especially his character and his leadership in your relationship. Trust God through prayer as you daily surrender your husband and marriage to the Lord’s wise, loving care.

Day 1 Pray that your husband will grow spiritually and consider his accountability before the Lord. Pray that he will guard his heart by developing spiritual disciplines—Bible reading and study, prayer, meditation, scripture memorization, etc. (2 Peter 3:18; Prov. 4:23)

Day 2 Pray that your husband’s relationship with God and His Word will bear fruit in his life. Pray that he will be a man of wisdom and understanding, fearing the Lord. (Prov. 3:7, 9:10; Ps. 112:1)

Day 3 Pray that your husband will be humble and quick to agree with God about his sin. Pray that his heart will be tender toward the voice of the Lord. (Ps. 51:2-4; Micah 6:8)

Day 4
Pray that your husband will grow in leadership skills in your relationship—protecting and providing for you. Pray that he will lead you wisely and love you sacrificially, so that God will be glorified in your marriage. (Eph. 5:25-29; Col. 3:19)

Day 5
Pray that your husband will be faithful to his wedding vows. Pray that he will have a desire to cultivate your relationship as a sign of his loyalty and commitment to you, and as a picture of Christ’s love for the Church. (Prov. 20:6; Gen. 2:24)

Day 6
Pray that your husband will love righteousness and hate wickedness, especially the evils of the culture. Pray that he will recognize and avoid wickedness in his own life, and if necessary, take a clear, strong stand against evil. (Prov. 27:12; John 17:15; 1 Cor. 10:12-13)

Day 7
Pray that your husband will safeguard his heart against inappropriate relationships with the opposite sex. Pray that his heart will be pure and undivided in his commitment to you. (Prov. 6:23-24, 26; Rom. 13:14)

Day 8
Pray that your husband will work hard to provide for your family, to the best of his ability. Pray that the character qualities necessary for a successful career and ministry will be a growing part of his character—persistence, decisiveness, strength, an analytical mind, organizational skills, positive relationships with people, determination, etc. (Rom. 12:11; 1 Cor. 15:58)

Day 9
Pray that your husband handle finances wisely, will have discernment concerning budgeting and investments, and will be a good steward of his money in regard to giving to the Lord’s work. Pray that money will not become a source of discord in your family. (Prov. 23:4-5; Rom. 12:13; Heb. 13:5)

Day 10
Pray that your husband will cultivate strong integrity, and not compromise his convictions. Pray that his testimony will be genuine, that he will be honest in his business dealings, and will never do anything that he needs to hide from others. (Prov. 20:7; 1 Tim. 1:5, 3:7; Eph. 6:10-12)

Day 11
Pray that your husband will have a humble, teachable spirit and a servant’s heart before the Lord. Pray that he will listen to God and desire to do His will. (Prov. 15:33; Eph. 6:6)

Day 12
Pray that your husband will yield his sexual drive to the Lord and practice self control. Pray that your sexual intimacy together will be fresh, positive, and a reflection of selfless love. (Prov. 5:15, 18; 1 Cor. 7:3; Song of Solomon 7:10)

Day 13
Pray that your husband use practical skills to build your family and make wise decisions for your welfare. Pray that he will serve unselfishly. (Gal. 5:13; Phil. 2:3-4)

Day 14
Pray that your husband will speak words that build you and your family, and reflect a heart of love. Pray that he will not use filthy language. (Prov. 18:21; Eph. 4:29)

Day 15
Pray that your husband will choose his friends wisely. Pray that God will bring him men who will encourage his accountability before God, and will not lead him into sin. (Prov. 13:20; Prov. 27:17)

Day 16
Pray that your husband will choose healthy, God-honoring activities. Pray that he will not live in bondage to any questionable habits or hobbies, but that he will experience freedom in holiness as he yields to the Spirit’s control. (1 Cor. 6:12, 10:31; 2 Tim. 2:4)

Day 17
Pray that your husband will enjoy his manliness as he patterns his life after Christ and strong men in the faith. Pray for his physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual strength. (Eph. 3:16; 1 Peter 2:21; 1 Cor. 10:11)

Day 18
Pray that your husband will have an eternal perspective—living in light of eternity. Pray that he will reject materialism and temporal values and put God first in his life. (Matt. 6:33; Deut. 6:5; Eph. 5:16; Ps. 90:12)

Day 19
Pray that your husband will be patient and a man of peace. Pray that he will not give in to anger, but will allow the Holy Spirit to control his responses. (Rom. 14:19; Ps. 34:14)

Day 20
Pray that your husband will yield his mind and thoughts to the Lord. Pray that he will not entertain immoral or impure thoughts, and that he will resist the temptation to indulge in pornography. (Prov. 27:12; 2 Cor. 10:5)

Day 21
Pray that your husband will learn how to relax in the Lord and, in his greatest times of stress, find joy and peace in his relationship with God. Pray that he will submit his schedule to the Lord. (Neh. 8:10; Prov. 17:22; Ps. 16:11)

Day 22
Pray that your husband will practice forgiveness in your relationship and with others. Pray that he will recognize any roots of bitterness, and yield any resentment and unforgiving attitudes to the Lord. (Eph. 4:32; Heb. 12:15)

Day 23
Pray that your husband will be a good father—disciplining his children wisely and loving them unconditionally. If he is not a father, pray that he will find a young man to mentor in the things of the Lord. (Eph. 6:4; Col. 3:21; 2 Tim. 2:1-2)

Day 24
Pray that your husband will have a balanced life—that he will balance work and play. Pray that he will fear God, but also gain favor with people he knows at work and church. (Luke 2:52; Prov. 13:15)

Day 25
Pray that your husband will be courageous in his stand against evil and injustice, and that he will stand for the truth. Pray that he will protect you and your family from Satan’s attacks. (Ps. 31:24; Eph. 6:13; Ps. 27:14)

Day 26
Pray that your husband will discover and live his God-given purpose. Pray that he will offer all his dreams to the Lord, and pursue only those goals that will bring God glory and count for eternity. (Jer. 29:11; 1 Cor. 10:31)

Day 27
Pray that your husband will understand the importance of taking care of his body—the temple of the Holy Spirit—for the glory of God. Pray that he will practice self-control by making wise food choices, and get sufficient exercise to stay healthy. (Rom. 12:1-2; 1 Cor. 6:19-20, 9:27)

Day 28
Pray that your husband will be a man of prayer. Pray that he will seek and pursue God in purposeful quiet times. (1 Thess. 5:17; Luke 22:46; James 5:16)

Day 29
Pray that your husband will surrender his time and talents to the Lord. Pray that his spiritual gifts will be manifest in his career, at church, and in your home. (Eph. 5:15-16; 1 Cor. 12:4, 7)

Day 30
Pray that your husband will serve God and others with pure motives. Pray that he will obey the Lord from his heart, and glorify Him in everything. (1 Cor. 10:13; John 7:17-18; Col. 3:23-24)

Day 31
Pray that your husband will recognize the lies of the Enemy in his life. Pray that his attitudes and actions will be guided by the truth as he brings his thoughts into captivity to the Word of God. (John 8:44; 2 Cor. 10:4-5)

General Thoughts

Well today is no different that other days. I arrived at work, got the things I need to work on in order. I do however have several things roaming through my mind. I think about the weather and how in a matter of days it now feels like fall is arriving. I also think about all the little things that happen around me that so many time are taken for granted. I appreciate the clouds in the sky, the raindrops on my car, the breeze that clears the heat. I also contemplate the magnitude of God. All His wonders, His glory, His majesty in every little detail. Hes magnitude is truly unveild when I observe the smallet details. Where would I be without Him?

4th fo July Weekend

Well, today I'm in a country that doesn't celebrate the 4th of July but I'm still an American and along with my family I'm gonna celebrate our INDEPENDANCE!!!
I'm so proud to be an American and to be able to celebrate it, although I'm no another place. That small fact doesn't take away my freedom (the freedom that comes from being a US Citizen). I love my country, I love my people and I would NEVER change it.
Now lests get to the point here... Why do we have freedom?
I know many of us say, we have freedom because of those who fought for it. I agree with you, although I believe it goes much deeper than that. I think we continue to have freedom because of those who fight for it, and I am dang proud of those who did, and do and who will. But i know from all those history books I read while in school that our founding fathers did something that distinguishes our country from others. They created our foundations, our costitution and all our structure as a country on the Biblical principals of Theocracy.
Now, we have had our strays away from the Biblical principals yet our country, thanks to those who still hold on to those principals, has survived. We(those who still believe) recognize God as our God, honor our founding fathers, our costitution and our heritage. And I honestly believe that because of those we are a succesfull,  strong, influencial, mighty country, because our God is Strong, Mighty, Merciful and Loving.

So now all I gotta say is: GOD BLESS YOUR AMERICA!!!! And thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of it. - WHAT AN HONOR!!!

It's My Birthday

Ok well today is my birthday and I guess since I haven't blogged in a while I better do it today!!! Well I have many things to be thankful for - first off my Jesus and the ever-growing relationship we have, my family: Julio, Daddy, Mommy Nathan and Jonathan, you have always and always will be a VERY important part of my life. My friends and coworkers in the ministry - you help mold my charactar day by day.
I only wish to express myself in one other way and it is with these words, 'cause without YOU I would deffinitly not be here. I love you FATHER & may I never forget the reason that I live!!!

Who am I?
That the Lord of all the earth,
Would care to know my name,
Would care to feel my hurt.
Who am I?
That the bright and morning star,
Would choose to light the way,
For my ever wandering heart.

Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.

I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours, I am yours.

Who am I?
That the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love
And watch me rise again.
Who am I?
That the voice that calmed the sea,
Would call out through the rain,
And calm the storm in me.

Not because of who I am,
But because of what you've done.
Not because of what I've done,
But because of who you are.

I am a flower quickly fading,
Here today and gone tomorrow,
A wave tossed in the ocean,
A vapor in the wind.
Still you hear me when I'm calling,
Lord, you catch me when I'm falling,
And you've told me who I am.
I am yours.

Whom shall I fear
Whom shall I fear
Cause I am yours..
I am yours..

It's April Fools...

Well, it is April Fool's Day'but the post really has nothing to do with this holiday. =D
I got to thinking the other day about how people are capable of making things easier and effective. I live in Mexico (and this is in no way directed to or puprosed to offend anyone). And if you have ever been here or lived here you will probably know what I'm talking about... One thing in this country, in which I have lived most of my life and absolutely ADORE, that buggs the heck out of me is the processes they make you go through in order to get anything done. For example: to get your licence you have to go to the issuing office and take 1)your birthcertificate, 2)your voters registration ID card, 3)a proof of address, and this is if you have a licence that needs to be renewed. If it is the first time you get your licence you must take the three things previously mentioned plus 4)a certificate declaring you have no legal allegations declared against you, 5)another certificate declaring you have taken a drivers course (if you are a minor), 6)once there you have to take a drivers test. Ok now I know most of you are thinking, "Well, when I went for my licence they asked me for several of the same things, so what is Natalie talking about". Ok here ges the process(for a first timmer): a) On Monday, you go to the main office and present the first 3 things mentioned (because this is all they tell you you need), b) they'll then tell you you have to all the way across town to process the certificate mentioned in #4 above. Now the problem with step #4 is that this certificate costs money and will not be ready in one day, so you have to go back the next day early in the morning to stand in line and be able to be attended during service hours. The next day you can go and pick up the certificate. c) Now that you have #4 you go back to the licence office and present the first three documents plus the fourth since that was the document you were lacking when you first went to the offices. d) The check your documents and tell you that step #5 is lacking too. (this is the part that buggs me, instesad of them telling you you needed certificates #4 & 5 they only told you about #4, so now...) e) now they send you BACK across town to ask for certificate #5, which also costs money. f) the same process has to be done as in B. g) you finally have all the documents/certificates you need. So you go to the licence office early the next morning and present all the documents. h)They receive them and now they tell you you need 2 copies of each document. i) you have to go find a place that will make the copies and by the time you do you will stand in line, and not be close to beeing attended, when the service hours our up. j)now it's the weekend, since it is a Gov. office they don't oppen os Sat. or Sun. so now you have to wait 'till Monday) Now it's Monday you wake up early to be within the first 20 people in line. You arrive and there are about 30-50 people ahead of you. You wait. l) Now that it's your turn you present all the documents, they aprove of them. *Whew* m) You take the driving test you pass. n) And now they ask you to pay and then wait till the licence is ready. WOO-HOO!!!! You have your first licence!!!! But the cost of the first licence (which has an expriation date within 1 year) cost you: more than a week to process the whole thing with the going back and forth, plus the money you have to pay for 2 certificate and the $450 pesos for the licence which is good for 1 year.
Now isn't that just frustrating. (By all means this is just an example of where my fristration comes from)

I was talking to my husband the other day about the processes we have to go through, becuase in May I plan to submitt my Event Planning Business before Mexico's IRS equivalent and make it official. I'm excited!!!! Except for the whole process of going back and forth. Anyway, I asked Julio why things here weren't made to be more practical and I gave him the following example:
-If I owned a bussness that painted the lines in a parking lot and I had the option of using a pait brush or a spray gun, which would I use? Let's look at the pros and cons. Both get the job done. With a paint brush I need 5 people to get, lets say, 20 lines done in 1 hour. With a spray gun, I need 5 people to get 75 lines done in 1 hour. In 5 hours, with 5 people and paint brishes I get 100lines done. And if I have 5 guys for 5 hours and spray guns I get  375 lines done. I get more money and more work done right??? That is my way of thinking. But here in Mexico they decide to do it differently: They have 1 process, which requires 6 people - 1 person to receive documents, 1 person tu sign documents, 1 person tu make the change of info for the new documents, 1 person to charge you for the documents, 1 person to seal the new document(s), and last but not least 1 person at the pick-up window... Now please tell me that there are people more capable working at you office and can receive, verify, change info., sign, stamp, receive payment and deliver/send/or hand you your new documentation.....???? Plus that way I would only have to pay 1 person to do all 6 steps instead of payin 6 differnt people.

I wonder..... and will keep wondering I guess.....

Thanks for taking the time to read.
